Senior Cohousing in Poland
Let’s Live Together is a research and development project focused on creating the first comprehensive support system for cohousing initiatives in Poland.
The project responds to two major societal challenges: the housing crisis and the rapidly ageing population. Many older adults want to remain independent and live in their own homes, yet existing housing systems rarely support community-based living.
Cohousing offers an alternative. It combines private apartments with shared spaces designed to foster everyday interaction, mutual support, and a strong sense of community. While this model is well established in countries such as Switzerland, Denmark, and Germany, it is still underdeveloped in Poland due to legal, financial, and procedural barriers.
