Action research
Action research combines research and social change.

Rather than only observing reality, we work closely with communities to understand challenges and jointly develop solutions. This approach strengthens local competencies and supports meaningful, context-based change.

Researchers work closely with a community not only to understand a situation but also to help improve it. Participants are encouraged to analyse their own environment, identify problems, and develop solutions together.

Our action research processes often combine several methods, including:

  • participant observation

  • in-depth interviews

  • focus groups

  • case studies.
