GIRLS’ CLUB
Youth · Participation · Public space Warsaw, 2025–2026

Girls’ Club is a programme that brings together teenage girls and people identifying as girls to explore how cities, spaces, and communities can be designed in more inclusive ways.

The initiative began in November 2025 in partnership with Nowy Teatr in Warsaw and runs through June 2026.

Our approach

Through regular gatherings, we create a supportive group where participants build friendships, exchange ideas, and learn about design — not only of spaces, but also of relationships, objects, and social situations.

The long-term goal is to form a network of young female urban experts who can share their perspectives on important city and institutional projects.

What we do

Once a month we invite girls aged 12–18 to the community space at Nowy Teatr for three-hour Sunday meetings that combine conversation, creative work, and shared meals.

Each session focuses on a different topic and often includes invited guests such as designers, journalists, artists, or researchers.

The meetings are part of the wider programme “Dziewanny i wrotycze”, which explores how the public space around Nowy Teatr can better respond to the needs of its users.

Why it matters

Teenage girls’ perspectives are rarely included in discussions about public space.
Girls’ Club creates a space where their voices, experiences, and ideas can shape future urban initiatives.

At the same time, the programme builds confidence, networks, and a sense of agency among young participants.
